Play United Casino has been going through quite a few changes lately. The casino itself has been going for a number of years but they recently changed from the RTG ( RealTime Gaming ) software platform to the Playtech software.
They have now informed us that they are able to offer Rand currency for all of their South African players which is good news.

This past weekend will be one that Gareth Kalil will never forget. As he took his seat at the R3,500,000 All Africa Poker Tournament which was held from 26 February – 1 March 2009 never could he prepared himself for what was about to happen. As the field started to drop from 113, Gareth not only stuck in there but took chip lead early on Day 3, which he kept all the way through to the final table. Gareth went up against Steven Brown, Frano Lottering, Jonathan Voss, Lino Pestana, Reshan Naidoo, Gareth “No Fear” Kalil, Aston Soon Shiong, Kevin Stani, Stewart Reilly and Deon Minnaar, who was the only player to have made a previous AAPT final table. It took a mere sixty hands to complete the final table but Gareth prevailed over Jonothan to take down the winning pot and was crowned the All Africa Poker Champion and Millionaire. Gareth thanked everyone and was very humble in his victory and added, “Tonight promises to be the party of a life time at Piggs Peak Hotel and Casino, Swaziland.” All the poker action will be aired on the All Africa Poker Channel on DSTV, press “OK” on your remote and select POKER CHANNEL in the DSTV Touch menu.
The next R3, 500, 000 All Africa Poker Tournament will be held from the 21 – 24 May 2009.
